I only work for charities, organisations and businesses with a social or community focus. It’s where my passion lies and it’s where – for nearly 15 years – I’ve been making words work to achieve organisation’s aims.
I tend to work off site, communicating with you mainly by phone, email, Skype or Google Hangout. That means fewer boring and over-complex meetings for you, and more time for me to get down to the nitty gritty without getting caught up in organisational politics, or bogged down with competing priorities. I guarantee: working this way will definitely save you stress and money.
I’m available to work on one-off projects, for a quick half-day’s editing or press release writing if that’s what you need, or on an ongoing basis.
I’m open minded and I’ll aim to create a package that meets your aims and objectives, and fits your timescale and budget.
You know how annoying it is when writers don’t offer costs upfront. It means you can’t put in rough budgets, and it takes lots of your time to get estimates and quotes back. Then you often end up comparing apples and pears anyway.
That’s why I offer a simple price guide. And once we’ve agreed how we’re going to work, I’ll work on your editorial at no extra cost no-matter how many revisions you need. That means great work, guaranteed.
All my work is chargeable by the half day, except proofreading which is by the hour.
For writing from scratch, copyediting and consultancy, you should budget for £250 per day. I drop that to £225 for five or more day’s work.
For proofreading, you should budget for £25 per hour.
