I’ll talk to you first about your priorities, the problems you’re having and what end result you’d like to see. Then I’ll get polishing.
Copywriting – there’s nothing worse than a blank piece of paper. I’ll take the stress away. Whether you want a bundle of old papers turned into a fact-sheet or engaging report, a series of telephone interviews converted into moving and hard-hitting case studies, or great (and SEO effective) copy for your website, I can help to make words work for your organisation. Proofreading – you’ve written your report and it’s about to go to press. But how can you be sure you’ve spotted every error? Are your spellings consistent (or even correct)? What about your use of speech marks or hyphens? And your page furniture: headlines, contents page, numberings – are they all working too? Save yourself the embarrassment and the cost of a reprint by getting me to look over your work in forensic detail, armed with my red editing pen.

I trained as a journalist with one of the UK’s biggest business publishers: Reed Business Information, before working as a staff journalist on Community Care magazine and then a freelance writer on various magazines and newspapers.
I then set up the copywriting agency ngo.media to provide editorial services for a range of charity and business clients. I am also the author of a number of books, including two guides to writing and public relations. I’m now based in Belfast, but work for charities and others all over the UK.
