Leaving a legacy of change

ngo.media recently completed a legacy document for the Camelot Foundation, which looks back on ten years of successful project funding.

The Camelot Foundation funds projects that many trusts shy away from. A challenge of producing the report was presenting difficult subjects such as Female Genital Mutilation, self-harm and suicide prevention honestly and sensitively.
Too often these issues are sensationalised or stereotyped. For ngo.media, the report was an opportunity to highlight projects that don't always get the recognition they deserve.
What enlivens the publication are the voices from projects across the country, from a Swansea football club for people with disabilities, to a media project for young people coming out as gay.
That kind of insight can't be achieved through merely looking over an organisation's website or talking to a service user by phone.
That's why we visited projects and talked face-to-face with participants. We were privileged to meet such dedicated and enthusiastic people, and the passion and commitment of both youth workers and project users comes across on every page.
