Teach First transforms outstanding graduates into inspiring leaders, ready to excel in any management career.
Combining intensive teacher training and experience in challenging secondary schools with an innovative leadership development programme, Teach First is a unique opportunity for you to be different, and to make a difference.
High-profile recruiters from all sectors value the skills and strategies employed in teaching. That's why over 80 companies, government agencies and public bodies are backing Teach First to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
Teach First is looking to transform outstanding graduates into inspiring leaders, ready to excel in any management career. They must display evidence of the following competancies:
Humility, Respect & Empathy, Interaction, Knowledge, Leadership, Planning & Organising, Problem Solving, Resilience and Self Evaluation.
Teach First’s demanding two-year programme puts high-calibre graduates into challenging London, Midlands and North West secondary schools to train, qualify and work as teachers. Through your creativity, relentless optimism, energy and intelligence you will have a real impact in schools where young people are struggling to fulfil their potential.
Teach First, which is a registered charity, recruits outstanding people to take part in an exceptional scheme. There’s no doubt it’s a great opportunity, but it’s also a substantial challenge. You’ll be spending at least 80% of your time teaching real lessons to real students, and dealing with the all too real issues facing young people who, for a variety of reasons, feel the system is letting them down.
