Cross-Cultural Solutions is a non-profit organization that enables volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to the community by working side-by-side with local people, while gaining a new perspective and insight into the culture and themselves. The volunteer work is with carefully selected Partner Programmes, all of which are dynamic and inspiring community-led initiatives. CCS offers international volunteer programmes in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Morocco, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Thailand.
Cross-Cultural Solutions is a recognized leader in the field of international volunteering, with over 4,000 volunteers each year. Founded in 1995, we are an international not-for-profit organization with no political or religious affiliations. CCS has a worldwide staff of over 200 people, and operates in 12 countries, with administrative offices also located in the United States and United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. We are in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations, and have been profiled in more than 500 news outlets.
Cross-Cultural Solutions offers volunteer placements in the areas of education, social services, and health. These include orphanages and childcare centers, schools, health clinics and hospitals, homes for the elderly, centers for people with disabilities, and other community organizations. Volunteers enjoy the flexibility of choosing from 12 countries, start dates year-round and programmes from 1-12 weeks long.
Choose from three programmes:
Volunteer Abroad, 2-12 weeks, is our flagship program and is offered in 12 countries with start dates year-round. CCS expert in-country staff matches each volunteer’s skills and interests with the needs of the local community.
Intern Abroad, 3-12 weeks, is offered in five countries with start dates year-round. Placements are customised to suit the individual’s unique skills, interests, and educational background. Interns supplement their work experience with structured learning opportunities designed to offer perspectives on the culture and the global and local issues that impact it.
Insight Abroad, the one-week programme, is available in five countries. Nearly identical to the Volunteer Abroad programme, Insight Abroad captures the essence of our flagship programme in just one week and is ideal for those with limited time.
