As the second largest Borough in London, with a diverse population (the 20th most diverse in the UK) , we strive hard to deliver positive outcomes in the areas which matter most to the people we serve. Our corporate priorities are:
- A Bright Future for Children and Young People
- Clean, Green, and Safe
- A Successful Suburb
- Strong and Healthy
- Supporting the Vulnerable
At Forum 3 we will share with you how we are looking to deliver these priorities in our services to Children and Vulnerable Adults.
The recent integration of the Children’s Service has provided us with an exciting opportunity to share our achievements in social care and schools and build on them as an integrated service focused on the needs of the child. Our last JAR inspection recognised that “most children and young people feel safe” and most “enjoy and achieve”. We will continue to work hard to deliver positive results for children and young people within the borough.
In Adult Social Services, the introduction of “Choice and Independence” will be an excellent opportunity to provide services to vulnerable adults based on their needs and the services they most value.
If you would like to find out more about what Barnet has to offer please do visit our stand at Forum 3 to have a chat with one of our specialist advisors.
We are looking to share our achievements with professionals in the public sector, and to recruit people who are ambitious, committed and dedicated to delivering high-quality services.
