The Change Events Team

Faith and Charity '08 is the national conference for faith-based charities.

Date: Thursday 19th June '08       Venue: the Law Society, Central London

Debate the big issues, join practical workshops and network with other faith charity representatives at this unique national event.

How do charities work in today's multi-faith society? Are faith charities being forced to put their faith message aside?

This is your chance to put questions to Dame Suzi Leather, chair of The Charity Commission.

The commission has recently established its Faith and Social Cohesion Unit.

You'll also hear from sector leaders at The Interfaith Network, Islamic Relief and the Methodist Association
of Youth Clubs
.

Also featuring speakers from Church Action on Poverty, The Salvation Army and Jewish Care.

As well as case studies and debate, you’ll benefit from interactive workshops that tackle the specific fundraising, governance and communications issues faith charities face.

  • Learn how to evaluate your projects and demonstrate the difference they make.
  • Ask journalists and broadcasters how your charity can get the media coverage it deserves.
  • Discuss how to invest your charity's assets profitably and ethically.
  • Get practical tips to make sure your campaign messages are heard by the right people at the right time.

If you're a chief executive or a trustee, a frontline worker or an administrator, Faith and Charity '08 is for you.

Join us on Thursday 19th June 2008 for a day of debate, exploration and inspiration.
